Structured Treatment

CGL Gloucestershire  offers a wide range of support for anyone suffering problems around drugs and alcohol.

We support service users through treatment and beyond. Our diverse approaches and treatment options to help you cut down or stop your use of drugs include:

  • Advice and information
  • Alcohol Screening to establish whether your drinking is harming your health
  • Pod Working
  • Access to counselling
  • Targeted Foundations of Recovery workshops
  • Broad range of facilitated activities
  • Alternative therapies
  • Access to Housing support
  • Mental Health services
  • Parenting Support
  • Mutual Aid
  • Independent advocacy services
  • Mental and physical wellbeing
  • Needle exchange
  • Blood borne viruses and healthcare – testing and vaccinations
  • Ongoing support for those with a Hepatitis C diagnosis
  • Substitute prescribing
  • Detoxification and referral on to other detox and rehab services as appropriate
  • Linking with the Alcohol Liaison Service based at Great Western Hospital
  • Access to education, training and employment
  • Access to family and carers support
  • Peer Support

Our team work holistically to develop recovery plans that focus on the person rather than the substance and recovery plans will include more than one type of intervention – service users will not solely be offered substitute prescribing.
